Christmas Cards!!!

It is this time of the year again!!! Christmas Time, a time for family, love, forgiveness, and friendship. We all love it when everyone gathers around the table for Christmas dinner or when you see the surprised faces when people open up their Christmas gifts. Such a wonderful time. Christmas is a time for Christmas cards. I love making cards and Christmas cards are the best to make. The snowflakes, the ornaments, and best of all penguins!!!! I love penguins. These are some pictures of Christmas cards my mom and I are making for my wonderful friends and family.

Christmas Time and Cheer!!!!!

             It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in North Carolina. And a lot of other places with SNOW!!!! Yes, it has snowed already in the FIRST week of DECEMBER!!!!!! This was my first December snowing ever. It was very pretty and COLD!!!!! The snow on the trees, the snow on the grass, and the way ice has its effects on steps were all very interesting. I took many photos and almost fell a lot of times coming down the back steps with ice on them. It was a good thing I didn't fall.

Deathly Hallows Part 1 Review

First Movie Review!!!!  Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

This movie was very good. I really enjoyed the action, the creatures, everything!! This movie had a great balance of adventure, mystery, and fun. Of course it is not as good as the book. This movie is for all ages but I do say that if you have a child that is under the age of 5 or 6 to be aware there are some parts that are scarier than others. I will say, also that there are some sad parts my mom started to cry. Of course that was a little embarrassing. Harry, Ron, and Hermione go on an equiste and adventure-filled journey to find horcruxes. They run into tons of obticles along the way. They have to destroy the horcruxes, kill you-know-who, and still survive along the way. This movie I would recomend for ages over 6, and for anyone looking for a great movie.

My daddy is retired from the Navy. He was in the Navy for 20 years. He is AWESOME!!!!!!

Pointe Class

I starting taking pointe class about 3 weeks ago. I love it and hate it at the same time. I love it because it looks really pretty, I am not the bad at it, and I get some bragging rights. I hate it because it hurts....a lot.

The Pointe Shoes: Pointe shoes are very unique. They have a wooden box at the bottom of the shoe with fabric around it. It is pretty flexible ( excluding the wooden part ) with nice silk-like fabric and the sole is pretty bendable. Pointe shoes come in a variety of different colors. You can also paint them with a spray or brush. There are a variety of brands you can choose from with different sizes and shapes. They are a very pretty outcome but are a pain, literally.

The Class: Pointe class is very hard and awkward at first. It is like you have to start all over with ballet. I am going into my fourth week and can't do a turn yet. But that is OK. ( it is HARD ) I am trying my best and that is what counts. You have to be warm before you go onto full pointe, because if you don't you can hurt or break something in your ankle, foot, leg, etc. Pointe class is dangerous but is very beautiful.

If you think about taking pointe class do these things first:
Make sure you have at least 3 years of Ballet classes.
You have some-what of an arch in your foot. ( a curve )
You have a lot of ankle strength
You are mentally ready for it, to be able to work hard and practice a lot.
Be able to endure the pain that comes along with it.

Halloween

Halloween:
Believe it or not Halloween is just around the corner!!! It is only about two weeks from now. I am going to wear Marti Gras themed clothing. Do you know what you are going to wear? Are you going to dress up? I am going trick or treating but I am going to be in Myrtle Beach, SC. So I am Trick or Treating on broadway at the beach!!!!!! It is going to be so much fun!!!!! Are you trick or treating? If so where? (Just say like your street or state not specific house numbers please!) My favorite part about Halloween is the candy. (of course!!!) It is also fun to dress up and scare people. But most of the time my costumes are not very scary. I am usually the one getting scared.


NEWS:

I have done some things a little different the past week to my blog. I have set up a song of the week instead of quote. I have been changing my currently reading a lot this past week. Mrs.Thompson's Class

Y'all may have heard me talk about Mrs.Thompson before but this post is all about her class. Mrs.Thompson is really nice but she has rules of course. Every now and then we would have a quiz or test but a lot of the time we have a lot of fun. For example yesterday we sang the turlte song. A this song, I have to say, is AWESOME!!!!!!! It goes like this: My turtle swims sideways, your turtle swims upside down, my turtle swims sideways, your turtle is dead!!!! It is sorta violent but hilarious song. Did you sing songs in your ELA class? We sing, we dance, we read and write just like everybody else but with a twist. We have daily routine that switches from time to time. We first copy down the word of the day. For this we copy the word,part of speech, definition, and the example. These words are optional but they are extra credit on some test. After that we do our M.U.G sentences. These are sentences that need to be fixed. We do stuff like puctuation, capitalization and verb tense, etc. We do one each day and turn them in at the end of the week for a grade. Now this next part is about the all mighty mountain flipper. The mountain flipper is a study guide that we use for our vocabulary words. They are very effective for me anyway on my tests and quizes. They are really easy to use too. Do you have a study tool that you like to use? I love them and so do other people in my class. How is your ELA class at your school? And if your not in school anymore how was your old english classes? Did you enjoy them? I enjoy my class very much!!!! All I have to say is that Mrs.Thompson's class rocks!!!!! :)

Dance

     I love to dance and am pretty good so if I say so myself. I am on a competition team and love it. The dances are great and teachers are really nice. The dances are full of energy with cool moves. Have you ever taken dance lessons? Do you enjoy watching dances? I have been taken dance lessons since I was three. I love to watch dances; I love to wtach jazz and ballet dances best. My favorite type of dance is jazz because you get to put yourself in the dance and put your own personality in the dance. And this if you don't know is awesome and a lot easier for me anyway. What is your favorite type of dance? Dance is the greatest thing ever!!!!!!

Don't Freak just listen

I am still going to be doing the same stuff I did on It's A Girl's Life. I am still going to do polls and slideshows and question & Answer pages. I will do everything the same with a twist. Different title and colors and everything like that. So become my follower on this blog also since I won't be writing on my other one. Thank you for not freaking out. :)

Rainy Days; Fun aren't they!?!

     It rained last night and this morning and now its a little foggy and was really foggy this morning. Rainy days are when you can't go outside. ( which stinks ) And its monday; so today isn't the greatest day ever. Do you like rainy days? I don't like rainy days becuase you get headaches everyone is a little bit grumpy. Just not my days. Some people who are older or have had surgury on a joint have pain they are just dreadful days. Do you know someone who says they are in pain these dyas? I do my grandma gets sore in her knee. On rainy days I stay inside and read a book, play a board game, or get on the computer. What do you do on rainy days? How do you make this dreadful day a little better?


This is how I sum-up a rainy day:
On rainy days you stay inside unless you go dance in the rain. This is the day were there is some pain and headaches. People are grumpy or sad and very much bored. Those are the rainy days.

Rainy days are Incongrous!

The Switch
